Sanichaufer is one of the biggest firms in\nbuilding services engineering, with over 50 years of experience. Sanichaufer\u2019s\nmain fields of activity are heating, air-conditioning and central control\nsystems. For this reason, the \u201croof-top office\u201d is designed as a showroom\ndisplaying the most modern building technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"867\" src=\"http:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.-im4-3-1024x867.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.-im4-3-1024x867.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.-im4-3-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.-im4-3-768x650.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.-im4-3.jpg 1276w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><br><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Urban context \/ shapeshifter: The construction laws demand the adaptation of the roof type of the adjacent buildings on a sixth of the fa\u00e7ade width. However, the client wanted a cubic extension with a flat roof. The design combines those two opposites. The \u201cmansard-object\u201d&nbsp; picks up the ridge height of the left neighbour while the cubic shapes of the \u201croof-top office\u201d as demanded by the client gets alined with the right building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"867\" src=\"http:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.-im5-3-1024x867.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.-im5-3-1024x867.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.-im5-3-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.-im5-3-768x650.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.-im5-3.jpg 1276w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The two seemingly opposite shapes become one consistent design by using color gradients. The form\nfollows the shades and vice versa. A subtle game. It alternates the opposite\nforms of the \u201eMansard object\u201c and the \u201eroof-top office\u201c, as well as the\ndifferent degree of the shades that seem to break out of the fa\u00e7ade at the\njoints of the different parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"867\" src=\"http:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/6.-im8-3-1024x867.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/6.-im8-3-1024x867.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/6.-im8-3-300x254.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/6.-im8-3-768x650.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dagli.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/6.-im8-3.jpg 1276w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior design picks up the subtle interaction between colors and forms. The new mocks the old, color mocks shapes, straight lines the curved ones.
